Last night we almost decided to adopt two of these...

Pygmy goats!!!

Really, we almost did. 

Then we had a reality check.
Dog
Two cats
One year old
We are already frazzled.
Pets cannot outnumber people here. 
Pets probably should not outnumber adult people, but it's too late for that. 

But look at these cute faces... 

We were sad about no goats. 
Final decision--We will adopt two goats when we turn 40. 
We're planning ahead for our mid-life crises. 
No need for convertibles, just a couple of mini-goats,
and maybe an extended vacation to the Meditteranean too. 

It all started when we went to a friend's retirement party last weekend, discovered that Chris knew their neighbors, and met the neighbor's baby pygmy goats.  They are the perfect pet. 
Except we already have too many pets...for now.

Laundry Day

Asher spent the evening in the laundry basket.  He was quite content just to enjoy sitting in the basket.  It was the longest time period he's been still in ages!  I wonder if we can repeat this activity tomorrow!

Swimming

We took a little outing to the pool last night & discovered that Asher loves to swim.  By the end of the evening, he was stretching over trying to put his head in the water and seemed to want to go off to swim on his own! 

12 Month Update

12 months with our little guy has made for quite the amazing year! 

We spent today remembering this day...

 And celebrating this beautiful boy...

Asher got his first taste of cake tonight.  At first he wasn't too sure what to think. 

 He looked a little more interested once I put a dab of icing in his mouth.  He just didn't want to touch the cake himself. 

Once Chris started feeding him the cake with a spoon, he really got into it. 

Once I said the icing was all gone.  He informed me that I was wrong by pointing to the remainder of the cake that was sitting nearby on the counter.  Smart baby! 

Now we are so excited to see what the next year will have in store.
